WWWATTS exports many RSS feeds with which your favorite feed reader software or web site can help you keep track of new content on WWWATTS. The front page has a set of useful buttons for your benefit.

Registering and E-mail Notifications

Registering a user account with WWWATTS allows you to be notified by e-mail when new content is available on WWWATTS. This lets you keep up with the electric vehicle news as it happens.

The 'My Account' page has selections to control notification methods, what content types which you'll be notified, and the frequency you'll be notified.

First, click on 'My Account' (in the navigation menu) and click on the 'Edit' tab. Scroll a little ways down and find the section labeled Messaging and Notifications settings. You may need to click on those words to open up the section to view the controls inside. This controls the method and frequency used to send notifications. You can be notified via email or via Twitter. During registration you provided an email address.

If instead you want to be notified via Twitter you must inform this site of your twitter ID and password. Simply click on 'Twitter Accounts' and enter the account name and password. As a bonus once you register a twitter account your tweets show up on the 'Twitter' tab of your user account page.

At this point you haven't enabled any notifications.

While on your 'My Account' page click on the 'Notifications' tab. It shows several sub-sections starting with Overview. If you click on 'Subscriptions' it will show the current subscriptions you've made, which will be zero at this time.

The most useful subscription you could make will also generate the most notification traffic. That is to subscribe to all 'Feed Item' posts. Every item posted on WWWATTS from a podcast or blog is a 'Feed Item'. Hence Feed Item notifications will inform you of every post made to the site. To do so click on the 'Content Type' sub-tab, then click on the checkbox next to 'Feed Item', select the send interval and method, then click 'Save'.
