To top it off, one of the front page news items announces a new lease for a coal mining operation in Utah. Canyon Fuel Company paid over $22 million for a lease on the Greens Hollow tract, and it's expected to produce 56 million tons of coal. The lease sale was held on January 4, 2017, making it an Obama Administration thing.
The coal is located underground, and the company plans to dig a mine making two "small" surface disturbances.
Of course the real issue is the environmental impact of that coal. And all the other Coal the Trump Administration is slated to encourage, instead of encouraging the clean renewable energy technologies we all need.
