The Formula E series has big goals for itself.

The truth is that fossil fuels (gasoline etc) contribute lots of harm to the world. The fumes are poisonous and are implicated in a wide range of diseases, forcing people around the world to pay health-care costs to treat those diseases. Costs they wouldn't otherwise have had to pay.

THe theory is that making electric cars look fast and exciting, opinion will shift and drivers will flock to electric vehicles. We shall see, we shall see....
